Tuesday Update: FanDuel is officially live in Indiana. Hoosier State residents may visit the FanDuel website today to download the mobile app or bet online. FanDuel Sportsbook is preparing to launch mobile betting in Indiana on Tuesday, October 22nd.
Yesterday, the Purdue University Board of Trustees voted to implement a policy prohibiting non-athlete students, staff and faculty from betting on events involving Purdue sports teams, athletes or coaches.
Indiana finally has a start date for mobile sports betting: Thursday, October 3rd. The Indiana Gaming Commission issued a Mobile Go Live Authorization on Wednesday to Rush Street Interactive, operator of BetRivers.com.
Sports betting is now legal in Indiana with the state’s first retail sportsbooks opening on September 1st. Unlike some states that have legalized sports betting, Indiana does not prohibit wagers on in-state college teams.
